YOURTOWN JOB SKILLS TRAINING COURSES
yourtown's Get Set for Work is a fun and exciting NO COST intensive employment and training program supporting young Queenslanders aged 15-19 to gain skills, confidence, qualifications, and job assistance, such as:
· Help them to find a job or go onto further training
· Driving lessons and help to get your licence
· Work experience
· Developing their goals and how to achieve them
· Obtain an Accredited SIR20216 Certificate II in Retail Services by National Retail Association (0712)
· Help to get an RSA and RSG
· Barista Basics
· COVID Food Safety Certificate
· Help getting appropriate Interview & work clothes
· Visits to industries participants are interested in
· Support for 3 months after they commence work / training
· Fun team-building activities while making new friends
· PLUS, lunch is provided!
If you think, you have a young person that would be interested and would benefit from participating in yourtown’s Get Set for Work program please either reply or give Grant a call on 0421 631 312 and he will be more than happy to come and meet with the young person.

WESLEY MISSION WELLBEING CONSULTANT
Wesley Mission Queensland’s Wellbeing Mental Health Service provides free, short-term therapeutic support (usually around 4-6 sessions), in line with individual goals for people living in Flagstone.
The program may benefit those in areas such as:
· managing stress and anxiety
· building self-confidence and coping skills
· support for grief, trauma or loss
· accessing support to address issues with alcohol and other drugs, gambling, or other addictions
· caring for someone with a mental health concern.
Your session with a Wellbeing Consultant may include:
· peer support and guidance
· coaching
· education
· assistance with developing practical support, coping strategies and life skills.
Wellbeing Consultants are also able to help you navigate your mental health care journey and connect you with other local supports to assist with your goals.
This service is for people over 12 and adults (although it can be with
under 12’s if a parent were present as well).
Accessing this service
There is no cost involved for using this service. To access it, you must live in the Brisbane South region. The service accepts self-referrals and referrals from professionals (with consent from the individual).

CHILDREN'S HEALTH QUEENSLAND CHILD HEALTH CLINICS
Parents in Flagstone ... great news! The Children's Health Queensland Child Health Service will now be at the Flagstone Community Centre EVERY TUESDAY FROM 9am - 4:00pm.
The clinic will offer a wide range of services including:
Health surveillance and screening
Growth and development checks
Early feeding support
Nutritional information
Parent support groups and counselling to enhance parenting
Drop in clinic 9:00am - 11:30am and by appointment after lunch (call 1300 366 039 to book an appointment). No issue is too small - come and speak to the nurses, gain confidence and help your child / children thrive!
From birth to 8 years.

LOGAN CITY COUNCIL IMMUNISATION CLINIC
Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting against harmful diseases.
Our immunisation program offers the vaccinations listed under the National Immunisation Program Schedule and has vaccines available for purchase including dTpa (Whooping cough), Meningococcal and Influenza vaccines.
You do not need to make an appointment for our weekly immunisation clinics, but you should arrive at least 20 minutes before closing time. Please bring your Medicare card and Photo ID. Clinics are closed on public holidays.

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE SERVICE
Are you needing a JP?
Among other things, a JP can:
witness documents, witness statutory declarations, witness affidavits, witness and administer oaths and affirmations, certify a true copy of an original document and issue search warrants.
